For those who are curious what these conferences are all about, I have put together a overview below to wet your appetite.

The whole conceptual theme of being people of the Spirit and not carnal and strife-ridden was quickened in my heart this morning when I looked up the meaning of the word “spiritual” from the reference of I Corinthians 3:1; ” And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ…”.

I discovered that the Greek word for Spiritual is pneumatikos {pnyoo-mat-ik-os’} and it refers to-
1) belonging to the Holy Spirit
2) one who is filled with and governed by the Spirit of God
3) pertaining to the wind or breath; windy, exposed to the wind

I also discovered in my Greek dictionaries that this word does not occur in the Septuagint (GK translation of the OT) nor in the gospels…it is in fact an after- Pentecost word! It is used of spiritual revelations that only spiritual men can interpret (I Cor. 2:13). It is the spiritual songs of spontaneous prophetic worship (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16). It is used of believers in the Messiah who are spiritual and pleasing to Abba (Gal. 6:1). It is the very spiritual house and building made up of a company of people of whom are the later house for His greater glory and gold and silver to be transfer into (I Peter 2:5; equals Haggai 2:6-9). It is what our resurrection body is called (I Cor. 15:44,46). It is the whole lifestyle and conduct of how we are to walk on this earth…guided by His Spirit and not the lusts of the flesh (Gal. 5:16, 25).

Therefore, these are the conclusions I now clearly see in this study which demands a direct plumb line of decision for all of us to seriously ponder in this age of contemporary Christianity.
1) If we are born of His Spirit then we need to be people that are filled and thus governed by His windward Spiritual ways.
2) The only way to not walk in the lusts of the flesh is to be filled and governed by His Spirit. It is an intangible walk by faith and not by sight and brain tissue.
3) We are all called to be disciples and make disciples (not converts) of His windward ways. It is a disciplined lifestyle. Not just part time.
4) If we are not teaching people how to yield and be controlled by His Spirit…then they will continue to live in the flesh and cannot please God. And whatever does not please God he vomits out and cuts down and is thrown in the fire! (Rev. 3:16; John 15:6).
5) If you survey the city and region where you live, how many churches are actually teaching and allowing God’s people to experience His windward ways of His Spirit?
6) If believers are not allowed to have a deep filling encounter with the Holy Spirit on a weekly basis (minimum), then their minds will stay suspended in the cares of life and not be able to bridle the lusts of the flesh! (example: We have seen so many people delivered from pornography because we teach them how to yield and experience His fire rather than the burning in their own fire of the flesh!!! Gory to God!!!).
7) The philosophy of church growth which puts programs and seeker sensitive criteria at the forefront of a worship service is therefore not the spiritual pneumatikos house that God is building in this late hour! It is a house of cards that His wind is blowing down and it is time to hear the 911 call and evacuate these wax museums abominations created by carnal man who have a form of godliness but have denied the power of His Holy and spiritual windward ways! One Greek commentary describes II Timothy 3:5 as to “run away in horror”! Think of that this upcoming halloween weekend…the true houses of horror are these places that have denied His windward like ways of His Spirit!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! Run away!!!!!!

These are just a few thoughts that I have inside my heart this morning as I waited on the wind of His Spirit and why He has told us to counter this spineless, man-pleasing religious system of luke warm Christianity with a “HOLY WIND WEEKEND” located on Windward Parkway here in Alpharetta, GA.! Which just happens to be down the street from two of the largest seeker sensitive “churches” in Atlanta and the home of the mission headquarters of the largest denomination in America!

Hmmmm….Sounds like the Good Shepherd wants to take His sheep from the malaria filled water of domination and control that are here in this buckle of the “Bible Belt” and bring them to the clear flowing waters and green fields of His true intimacy and windward exposure!
