This is a early morning trumpet alert that something new has begun!

The best read I’m getting as we focus in on this entirely new and sudden eruption of His consuming fire is that this is a season of His very, very deep fire of desire for us!

Many of the emails I have been receiving lately has been centered around the excitement being issued forth about the people who have previewed the upcoming movie “The Passion”. As I have read those early reports I have sensed a breaking and removal of the hard layers of callous hearts and emotions of people as they experience a realistic (as possible) crucifixion of our Messiah! I think this is very good heart rending repentance that is needed among God’s people and the world in this hour. Yet, what I’m sensing is even a deeper passion and emotional surging than what a cinema experience can display….

You see, for many of us who have been in the heart rending passionate fires of His presence the last 10 years, there is a realm in His secret glory than goes deeper than any sight and sound experience (even though that is a good start)! There is a place that many of us have been visiting and marinating in that supercedes the powers of speech and thought…and it is a spiritual realm of the thunderous holiness of His throne room protocol and that is so deep that it makes you want to enjoin the fellowship of His sufferings and go outside and bear His reproach (Hebrews 13:12-15) ! Glory to His Name!!!!

It is very difficult to describe in this email forum what we are beginning to experience in the revival meetings that last two weekends other than a passion of the Spirit that is so deep and heart rending that there is no return to normal daily life and “innocent amusements” as was very perceptively coined by the late Charles G. Finney!

So friends now is the time to let go and let God mess you up with such a heart rending fire of His love that you will never be the same! It is not about just siting in a theatre to get this type of passion stirred up for an evening…but rather you can have it right now and not have to wait for a earthly movie to be released!!!!

Perhaps Abba is doing this now preemptively so we will not worship some man-made movie and build a idolatry fixation around this emotional stimulation of entertainment…but rather we will dig deep into prayer and study of His Word instead of running to our DVD libraries looking for another stimulus and spiritual fix!

Many have asked me if I will be going to see this new movie “The Passion”. I can say, “Maybe or maybe not”. And the only reason why is because what I’m experiencing right now is so good and powerful that it can’t be topped by anything else except more of His thunderous throne room protocol we experience as we passionately worship Him!!! AAAWWEEEEEE!!!!!!

However though, there is two lingering thoughts I’ve had recently that I will leave with you concerning Mel Gibson and this movie he personally funded.

1) Undoubtedly, there is going to be a huge response worldwide to this movie that will bring in enormous revenue and profit to Mel’s portfolio. Did he read and gauge correctly that our “Christian” society is starving for this type of entertainment and therefore went into it with this parallel motivation and “passion” rather than as a true free will offering of service for the Messiah? And in the next few months will the church’s leaders elevate him to a dangerous spiritual “Christian celebrity” status that has been the Achilles heel of so many other famous people in our culture that get saved yet are thrust into the limelight to quickly?

2) What will be the future fruit in his character after being so heavily involved in making such a realistic movie of the greatest event on earth? Has (or will) he be so changed by the Spirit of God that this will signal an end to his Hollywood career as an actor that has had him portrayed in so many rated “R” violent and dark flicks???? Or will he go back to acting in the same worldly movies that place him in very compromising and sinful episodes and try to be a “light to that industry that has deceived so many Christian actors? Will he be so radically changed that a powerful new man of God will rise up that will stun the world and Hollywood?

Let’s step up our intercession not just for those who will be effected by this movie…but also for Mel and his family!

Just some thoughts to ponder as we all step out and pursue His True Passion in this very exciting hour!!!
