…For when foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep…. (Matthew 25:3-5)

Dear friends, it is time to concentrate on our oil flasks in this hour and not only on our oil lamps! We must find time to fill our flasks with fresh oil.

And how did they get oil in those days? By going to the olive press. And what was the olive press in Jerusalem…non other than the Aramaic word and location known as Gethsemane! It is the prayer of not my will but your will be done that is the olive press we must visit repeatedly in our sojourning on this planet!

It is when we freely allow our will to be crushed and pressed do we then have enough oil to fill our flasks and therefore are prepared for the suddenly’s of the Bridegroom.

When your answer to prayer is delaying….then it is time to concentrate on your oil flasks in this hour….
