Early Morning Manna

The fresh manna I’m hearing this morning for our nutrition to run this race is from I Thess. chapter 5.

“But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.” (I Thess. 5:21-22 NASB)

In this chapter, the Apostle Paul is exhorting the Church concerning the DAY OF THE LORD and His return will be like a thief in the night. He is talking here about the sudden and unescapable return of our Messiah. The problem Paul encounters in this church though is that many of them are asleep and living like sons of the darkness and not sons of the day (5:4-11).

While in the secret place this morning, I wanted to share a key with you’all on how I determine what is the differing shoreline of God’s perfect will or acceptable will for your life. We all are faced by major decisions that will determine the course of our lives for years to come. One wrong decision can lead to problems and an Ishmaelite that can be a great source of grief and confusion. Just like the parable of the soil types Jesus spoke about…so there is 30, 60, and 100 fold levels which represent the good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God (Romans 12). I want to be that bondservant that only does His perfect will no matter the cost! And I believe that all of you want the same!

Ever since the massive flash floods have hit Israel the last two winters (see Isaiah 43:18-21 and it’s Mega prophetic fulfillment)…I have been studying and thus proclaiming what I believe is the new MACRO move of the Holy Spirit that is in the Church today. It is a very unique move of God that is to bring about a restoration of the third final wave before Jesus returns according to Acts 3:19-21.

I would like to do something new this morning…and it may be the key to really blowing wide open your personal Bible study times. Many believers read the Bible in a fragmented micro managed way (read in verses and chapters) instead of reading it the original way which is the whole letter (macro). I really believe that to many of us stop when we see a new chapter heading approaching. We must remember that chapter and verses where inserted by the translators and redactors to help us in reference and were never the original intent of the writers of the Bible. So why should we limit ourselves by not reading the whole letter…..? Why is it devotional studies and “Read the Bible in a Year” programs deal with single verses and chapters? Where is the wholistic macro approach to Bible studies that does not divorce the popular Scriptural promises for their context (i.e. Romans 8:28)? I think perhaps I should write a macro Bible study series…that does not chop up the NT into all these cute little “leadership modules” for management enrichment.
