I was not going to send out an email to you’all today…but he Holy Spirit kept bubbling up within me this word of encouragement for you’all!

The word I keep hearing is “BEWARE OF DISTRACTIONS”!

Distractions is di (two) tracts ( paths or land usage) or being involved in two similar paths or tracts of land!

I know you are all hard workers and love our Master…but are we on His tract (path) or our own parallel running path (tract) that seemeth good to us?

The enemy is crazily attempting to distract all of us from the real path we should be on by these cunning forks in the path! As Charles G. Finney said, “the greatest enemy to revival is innocent amusements!” We have too many amusements and distractions in our culture!

And these amusements could turn into ambushments by the serpent and enemy of our souls!!!

Hebrews 2 warns us-

“For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.” (Hebrews 2:1 NASB)

The phrase “drift away” is used (according to the Linguistic Key of The Greek NT), as something slipping from ones memory; or of a ring slipping from one’s finger; a ship drifting away; and that this state of flowing requires very close attention and elative heed and care to notice!!!!

Therefore, my recommendation this morning is to…

1. Stop right now what your are doing!
2. Go to the fresh water spring and drink (lap) and splash your face.
3. And like a true Gideon warrior look around and survey the area (situation) you are in. (Jesus does this in PS. 110:7 before battle)
4. Then make the needed compass adjustments to get back on the right path!

Beware of the unseen slight currents and the drifting of your boat in this hour into the shallow reefs!!! Stay in the deep waters fellow warriors!!!!!

Early this morning in the Shahar blackness of the predawn, Abba has instructed me to share with you another key for successful living outside the camp of the modern religious system (Hebrews 13:12-13). This key can be found in the final words of the Apostle Paul before his brutal martyrdom.

“Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Messiah Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh.” (Phil. 3:2-3 NASB).

Notice here in the Greek that the imperative is used three times in this first verse alone…Beware, beware, and beware! This warning is not against three different groups of people but the same group described in three ways. A thoughtful reading of the Book of Acts will immediately point out that this group was the Judases’ who wanted to lynch Paul throughout his powerful ministry. However, is there more to this verse that just this historical episode in the life of the early churches?

Let’s now get to the present tense warning that the Holy Spirit is issuing out to us today.

1. The dog in the ancient Near East was a creature highly avoided and given the same undomesticated classification in Scriptures as jackals. A carnivorous dog was always grouped together with the vultures and other scavengers.
2. The dog or jackal was used in the 8th century prophetic literature to speak of God’s judgment. The idea of the jackals howling in the midst of the places of judged cities of Israel and Judah was the evidence of God’s withdrawn provision and subsequent settling in of Ichabod (i.e. the glory has departed). See this principle in Jeremiah 9:11; Micah 1:8; Jeremiah.10:21-22.
3. The Messiah also speaks of the wolves and dogs in very strong warnings in Matthew 7:6 and 10:16.
4. And the first reference the Messiah is warning us about has to do with sharing what is holy in prayer with others who will also later turn on you! How many times have you and I shared things from the secret place only to have others treat it unholy and then try to rip you apart!
5. Then one of the most eye opening Scriptures that pulls all this together is the reference in Isaiah 56:6-12. This is the text the Messiah quoted when He drove out the business merchants out of the Temple because they were no longer making His house of place of prayer, but instead a den of thieves! And after driving them out, the prophetic follow thru of this event is outlined in verses 9-12. The prophetic watchmen are blinded and related to as “dumb dogs” and as dreamers who love to slumber! They are the shepherds who really don’t know the intimacy of making Abba’s house a house of prayer but rather are in the “business” of church to make a living and increase their unjust gain!

Dear fellow warriors, this is exactly what the Apostle Paul is warning us in this hour to watch out for and be on our guard against; it is these religious people who are really dogs, jackals, and wolves! They are the ones who will attack you and surround you to crucify you when you go outside the camp following the Spirit into the new thing. See the reference of Psalm 22:16 in speaking of the people who were beating and insulting the Messiah during and after His crucifixion. Who were these people? They were the very religious leaders who were angered because He turned over their tables of profit in the temple!

Watch out for those who have a zeal for “ministry” but do not spend much time in secret prayer…

Watch out for those who are always motivated by money “messages”…

Watch out for those who love pleasure more than death and servant hood…

Watch out for those who are more carnal than wind driven in their zeal for God…

Be on your guard against these very dangerous dogs in this hour as you are challenging the “professional” religious system…

Be on your guard as the agape love of many believers grows cold in this hour…

…Do not give what is holy to the dogs…

I pray that this EMM will help you in your quest to live outside the camp bearing His reproach to see His true House of Glory built in this late hour. Watch out for friendly fire!!!!

Bodily Exercise Profits Little?  What Did The Apostle Paul Actually Mean By This Statement?

How would you’all like to do some house cleaning and expose some religiosity that may have taken root in our consciences and minds concerning a very important aspect of maintaining our health in these last days?  If I have your permission this morning, then let me shine some Holy Ghost light on a dark fear that has hamstrung many of God’s choice warriors from being all that He has predestined them to be due to a misquotation and shallow reading of a very well known Scripture found in The Apostle Paul’s first epistle to Timothy.

“For bodily exercise profiteth little, but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and that which is to come.” (I Timothy 4:8 KJV)

For decades I have heard this verse taught, preached, and used as a self implied safeguard to help keep eager disciples from potentially crossing a mysterious line of becoming “carnal” if time is employed in exercise and physical fitness that somehow interferes with living godly and holy in this present age.  As a result not only myself, but many other fine soldiers for Yeshua have had the correction applied by well meaning but still religious believers, that our endeavors to maintain a certain fitness level thru systematic exercise was of little profit.  We were “wasting our time” and needed to be instead busy for God.  I of course submitted to this apparent “safeguard” as did many other of the fine soldiers I fellowshipped with, and although we still did do a little bit of aerobic/cardio exercising during the week, it was not enough to really bring about the benefits intended for our physical temples.

Why, because we had accepted the false religious notion that we were not making best use of our God given time on earth by pursuing fitness activities and needed to be busy about the work of contemporary Christianity.  As we would street witness, visit the sick in the hospitals, and conduct evening worship services I noticed that all of our fellowship times after these events were centered mainly around food.  Whether it be Sunday afternoon at the all you can eat buffet, or the late night after revival services hanging out at Denny’s, we slowly and methodically started putting on the excess poundage.  The more we gained weight the more we easily migrated towards a sedentary lifestyle of less physical activity and so on….  I can look back in retrospect that thru this modern sedentary culture of worship services and activities centered around fellowship and food, that not only I, but most of my friends and ministerial associations were starting to tip the scales towards obesity and a very unhealthy body fat index for our ages.

We all knew we had to cut back on the calories and became self proclaimed experts (just well read-LOL) on nutrition and healthy food choices.  Then came in the good and not so good diets and fasting/cleansing routines which are not really bad just we were still not keeping the weight off!  It seemed to keep coming back!  Of course, we all had gym equipment gathering dust in our basements or garages that we vowed every New Years Eve to get back onto…but never really kept faithfully at it because…”bodily exercise profits little” so that must mean we only do it a “little” or we will be displeasing to God and become too carnal!  We had become mentally self-defeated because we allowed a stronghold of fear take root in us that was really a misquotation of a popular Scripture!  …And the enemy was laughing with glee due to our self-inflicted acceptance mentality of not digging in deeper to the Scriptures!

This past year I began to see that there are a ton of Scriptures in the Bible that instruct us to be hard workers and not default into lazy slothfulness.  All of these texts in the Book of Proverbs alone have to do with hard manual labor in the backdrop of an agricultural based society.  Farming is very hard work and think how much harder it was 2000 years ago!  The whole of human history up until the last 120 years was a very non-transportation based society.  They walked everywhere and if you have walked before in Israel with all of its rugged terrain and harsh climatic conditions then you know how exhausting it can be!  Take some time and in your next series of private Bible studies look at how physical and in good fitness must have been the society as a whole in the Biblical times compared to today’s modern believer!

So what did the Apostle Paul really mean about “bodily exercise profit little” when in I Cor. 9 and 2 Tim. 2, he uses the illustrations of Olympic athletes, soldiers, and farmers who were not just exercising their bodies but due to their line of work would labor past the point of aerobic threshold and many times continue onto exhaustion just to finish the job, gather in the harvest, or fight the enemy?  It does not make logical sense that we are called to labor in the Scriptures but not “exercise” which is a much lesser form of work (i.e. calorie burning) compared to the job descriptions entailed in an agricultural based society?

I really want to thank God this morning for turning me on many years ago to a great reference work of the Greek language titled, The Linguistic Key to The Greek NT, by Fritz Rienecker and published by Zondervan Press.  It has blessed me so much in seeing the big picture and context of what the writers of the NT really were called to communicate in their overall letters for the Early Church.  On page 626, we can see that the real context that the Apostle Paul was addressing when he warned Timothy about bodily exercise.  It says, “Bodily exercise is a metaphor which refers back to the errors of the heretics against which the author (Paul) has been warning.  It is best to see in this phrase not the Hellenistic culture of the body, but an external dualistic Asceticism as propounded by the heretics and reflected in the warning contained in verse 3”.

Wow, this is so liberating for all of us who have held back from proper amounts of healthy exercise in our sedentary modern culture because we felt we would be judged as being too “carnal” by other believers, or we would be displeasing to God and not really be “godly” in this present age.  Paul is not talking about bodily exercise but a bodily self-centered struggle of an individual in Asceticism for his own moral and religious perfectionism!  Paul’s enemies were accusing him of his moral laxity since he refused to follow their demands of abstention.  He instead was encouraging Timothy to implement the training necessary for the unhindered pursuit of God’s purposes.  His exercise was a vigorous development and application of all his strength and ability that he may serve the glory of God with every thought and action!  (see page 626)    This is so awesome!  Developing all our abilities and strengths to serve the Gory of God!!!!

Let’s recap all of this-

1. The Apostle Paul was warning the young Apostle Timothy of a heretical movement of philosophy known as Asceticism of the Roman-Greco culture that used severe austerity in subordinating the body to the control of the moral attributes of the mind.  This was the bodily exercise Paul was referring to and not the athletic boldly exercise of the Hellenistic culture (i.e. Olympic games, athletics, etc…).
2. A deep and honest pondering of our heart and conscience in this hour can reveal to many of us that we have used this misquotation of “bodily exercise profits little” in excusing ourselves from really pressing in and dealing with the our lack of fitness and body fat mass index.  We have limited ourselves to not press past our comfort zones because we might be displeasing God if we worked out too much during the week.  …Or we would be judged by fellow believers as spending too much time focusing on exercise when we had more important “eternal” issues at hand.
3. This liberating truth can now set all of us free that bodily exercise whether it be manual labor or fitness orientated workouts is not only approved in the Scriptures, but is a highly employed theme for believers to engage in.  Not only are the health benefits optimized when our temples are properly taken care of, but also we learn many character issues about endurance, perseverance, and control that can be applied to encourage us in the mastery of our lower nature by the Holy Spirit and thus not become castaways in our faith (see I Cor. 9:24-27).
4. The bodily exercise we need to do systematically each week should not be centered on a cosmetic appearance shaping but on a inward fitness of cardio-vascular and aerobic conditioning.  This is the fastest way to get the weight off and keep it off.  You maybe be able to leg press or bench press twice your body weight but can you walk/run for long distances without fainting along the way (see Jer. 12:5)?  Modify your workouts with a local trainer to emphasis overall fitness rather than cosmetic shaping.  You are going to war with your temples and this is not a sprint but a marathon race of faith.  The biggest enemy to revival sometimes is that folks just can’t keep up with the pace of working the harvest field of new souls and get easily tired and fatigued.
5. I have found when I’m properly fit and systematically exercising that my appetite automatically migrates towards healthy and natural food choices and eschews all the processed food selections.  Eating is fun after working out and is not a bondage due to a fear of not being able to eat certain things.  When your engine is weekly running at high rpm’s then a few extra calories here and there is not a big concern.  Just be careful about the doctrines of demons via abstaining from certain foods Paul warned about in
   I Tim. 4:1-5 that was also embedded in the Asceticism philosophy.  Let your temple that God made be your guide in a post exercise meal selection rather than getting too hung up on all the plethora of teachings out there about diets and foods.  Keep it simple…be fit and eat natural!
6. As you see physical improvements do not rush your new fitness lifestyle since this is a recipe for injury and burnout.  Give yourself 12 months to reach that desired healthy weight and don’t get injured overdoing it.  I personally like the low impact exercises of swimming and cycling.  If you have a past history of medical complications talk to your Physician and find out what you need to center your faith on to get healed or adjusted.  Be very careful also as you see improvements to not get consumed by more time into more exercising.  Strike the balance and have moderation.  Some of these fitness programs can have you doing 12-15 hours per week of exercise and that is difficult to fit in with family, job, and church responsibilities.  I prefer the early morning hours for exercise as it is a great time to worship Abba and then move out of that quiet time into subduing the body.  It puts a great step of energy into the rest of the day and automatically keeps me from staying up too late at night with wasted entertainments…why, I can’t keep awake (LOL)!

This series of EMM’s on recovering the lost discipline of begging sure has been rich hasn’t it!  There is so much God pleasing material here that it just excites me to no end how together we can dive into the unfathomable depths of His grace as is seen in this mystery unveiled in 2 Cor. 8 and 9.  My sole ambition is to please Him and not others…or even myself.  I’m consumed to please Him and if God has given over people to unclean spiritual filth, as is seen in Romans 1:24-32, then why can’t He also give people over to full possession of the Holy Ghost?  This has been my prayer and I think He is answering it!  Oh, I feel taken over by His invisible realm of glory and there is no looking back!

So this is the new move of God that has been going on with me in Israel and I can trace the beginnings of this new move of God to several key watershed events.  (Follow along closely with me now….)

1. The circumcision of Gethsemane wherein I find out what I do not want to do (that area of secret defiance), yet fuse my will to be His will out of total self denial (Luke 22:39-46).
2. Accepting that the desert wilderness is our holy place.  This is the Spirit’s first windward meeting place for the genesis new episodes in our lives (Mark 1:11-13).
3. Willingness to embrace the scum of the earth motif rather than the accolades and reception of man.  We have many teachers yet few fathers really know this secret discipline today (1 Cor. 4:9-16).
4. Being very careful not to build upon another man’s work or foundation.  To be a fisher of men and not a keeper of the aquarium.  Bringing the gospel to those who have never heard is the key to a new pioneering work (I Cor. 3:10-15).  It is a much slower building project, but so much more stable and permanent.
5. Dedication of one’s physical temple to be on call for mobile and quick response exploits that requires a healthy and fit physical temple thru aerobic conditioning and strong diet (Rom. 6:11-13).
6. Letting the Commander and Chief sift all friendships in one’s life to fall into four categories of His choosing.
   1. The Multitudes
   2. The Seventy
   3. The Twelve
   4. The Three.
7. Giving up everything so that Israel may be saved (Romans 9:1-5).

Many have asked me how do I do it?  How can you go after Abba with such an abandonment and be so joyful?  How can you endure all the persecutions and friendly-fire incidents due to the ruthless zeal you have for righteousness and justice?  How can you be so fearless in the face of terror and jihad?  How is it you can go from being a overweight and middle-aged to winning an Olympic medal in such a short time?

Well I must sum it up to the decision to be a generous believer not based on anything more than following the example of Jesus (Yeshua).  I have found the joy of self abandonment as did also the Macedonian believers in 2 Cor. 8!  It is called the generosity (grace) of God and Paul even sent the Apostle Titus to shore up this work that was lacking with the believers at Corinth.  There is this realm of generosity that believers can enter into out of their own free volition that is spontaneous, voluntarily, and not subject to coercion or pressure from man.  It is a place that manifests itself in begging and pleading to give to God’s work in Israel that is traced to this Divine impulse grace (generosity) that is poured out when one truly wants to be a follower of Jesus (Yeshua).

I just love what the Linguistic Key to the Greek NT brings out in 2 Cor. 8:8 as the overshadowing principle of this sincere generosity was due to an event “born in wedlock”!  The believers in Macedonian despite their abject poverty and horrible circumstances were giving themselves and whatever else they could find to give due to a secret genesis of grace that was due to Holy wedlock!  They had entered into a bridal fire covenant with the Master and this plunged them into the unfathomable depths of His generosity and love per the supreme example of the Messiah Himself (2 Cor. 8:9)!  No wonder they were begging to give…it is the manifestation of full Holy Ghost possession!  Glory to God!!!  Demons manifest evil and believers in wedlock manifest Divine generosity!  And anything in between is plain ole’ luke-warmness (Rev. 3:14-21)!  Religious expressions and traditions are born out of this luke warm environment!  That is why so many people in religion are so stingy!

So this is the adventure we find ourselves on here in the Promised Land and we have enthusiastically given up it all to keep manifesting Him to those in darkness!  The glory projects we have begun here are exciting and so adventurous in how we are fishing for men that it must remain in stealth due to security concerns.  We are seeing such wonderful fruit and Abba is so pleased with it all!!!  The owner of the property that is for sale recently came to us again asking if we are ready to buy.  We told him we want to pay cash for this rare private land in Israel but do not yet have the full amount in the bank.  He graciously told us he cannot wait any longer and now is going public with the property sale.  So dear friends, we are again excited about stepping out of the boat and trusting Abba to provide this provision thru your gracious and love possessed generosity!  It is really beautiful to see the wondrous things Abba is doing here behind the scenes and it is such a privilege to funnel your precious gifts towards that end!  Need to know more?  Then give me a call or come on over and see!!!

I received quite a strong word to give you’all and this communiqué is meant to be spread out there to those who you know who love the Jewish people and the Nation of Israel.  Yes, it is controversial, but it must be brought out and exposed lest we keep wasting our time doing nice things thinking we are actually obeying the Scriptures, when the bottom line is we have fallen prey to doctrines of devils and the cunning craftiness of the winds of doctrines birthed by the shrewd marketing of man.

Case in point-  There has been a wonderful surge of support for the Nation of Israel coming from large sectors of the evangelical Protestant community in the Latin America, USA and Canada.  This support has surged to an all time high the last decade and has begun to influence the politicians of Israel in a unique way as they see a new “friendship” being forged especially from within the ranks of Christian Zionists.  It is a very common site today to see a plethora of churches and gatherings display the Israeli flag and promote prayer for Israel/Jerusalem.  Many ministries have been started to help pray and supply humanitarian relief for projects in Israel as a goodwill gesture of friendship and reconciliation.  However, those who have ears to hear what the Spirit of God has been saying have begun to have reservations about these zealous contemporary support vehicles for Israel via these ministries termed as Christian Zionists.

So what can be so inherently wrong with blessing Israel with humanitarian aid packages and convening prayer rallies for Israel?  Well here are the simple facts that cannot be avoided after a decade of personal inspection.

1. The glorious Name of Jesus (Yeshua) has not been proclaimed but purposely omitted.
2. There have been secret agreements with the unsaved Rabbi’s to not only exclude the mention of Jesus (Yeshua), but also have no types of evangelization whatsoever.
3. All of the believers involved in leadership or intercession for these multifaceted pro-Israel gatherings believe that some type of “prophetic” event occurred in these meetings that changes the destiny of their city or country based on Gen. 12:3.
4. Unsaved Politicians, Rabbi’s, and Jewish community leaders are subsequently allowed prime time exposure on different Christian media outlets to express their views (whether it be secular or from the oral law), without any cross examination from the Scriptures.
5. Many of these Christian Zionist organizations believe these spokespeople mentioned above are actually “brothers or sisters” in the Lord even though they reject the message of the Cross and the atoning blood of Jesus (Yeshua).
6. The Christian Zionistic movement has reached a saturation point in their theology and now must be termed “Israel Idolatry”.
7. Many well meaning leaders who have nobly come to bless Israel and work in high profile public meetings with Israeli government officials have secretly compromised their stand with proclaiming the message of Jesus (Yeshua), lest they be marginalized, rejected, or asked to leave the country.
8. A new viral strain of false doctrine has thus been released from these same ministries to justify their lack of evangelization with their enthusiastic pro Israel support base.  It is a new hybrid form of the old heresy of dual covenant theology.  Basically they view the orthodox rabbis they work with as being “righteous” and do not need to be saved to go to heaven when they die.  Apparently that will happen later with the 2nd coming of Jesus. (I know it’s crazy!)
9. A rabid dogmatism has continued to evolve from the Christian Zionists camp against those believers who would point out their lack of adherence to the Great Commission.  We are rejected, shunned, and dis-fellowshipped from their midst because they do not want the message of the Cross to offend their unsaved Jewish connections.
10. A rapid betrayal has thus been seen of Jewish born again believers here in the Land and elsewhere.  The small Messianic community has become the “black sheep” and the “joker” in the deck to the Christian Zionistic leaders that must be avoided at all cost if the coveted relationship with the unsaved Jewish community is to continue (the show must stay on schedule).

Let me just add here that I fully embrace all types of humanitarian aid for Israel, as well as all pro-Israel prayer meetings or rallies in public venues worldwide.  I’m not throwing the baby with the bathwater out in today’s EMM communiqué.  However, it is high time to change the bath water and take a careful look at how the current Christian Zionist community has evolved into a betrayal of the very brother and sisters (of Jewish descent), and has tragically supported the very unsaved rabbi’s and Jewish anti-missionary groups hindering us!  It would be like the Apostle Paul taking up offerings from the believers throughout the Roman Empire only to not give it to the Jewish believers first in Israel…but to the very leaders who are the main persecutors of the Church!  And this is exactly what is happening today and it is time that believers wake up to this form of anti-Christ (anti-Messiah) organizations who are the wolves in sheep clothing!  Don’t be deceived and so naive!  Get on the phone and ask the ministry for verification of where your hard earned $$$ are going here in Israel!

I have given you some things to pray and ponder about today and I want you’all to immediately not self justify yourself and your past good motivation and works in blessing Israel.  Now is not the time to send me a knee jerk reactionary email either…but to instead find a quiet place to wait upon Abba with your Bible open.  It is time to break open your hearts to Him and ask these simple questions.

1. Have I been idolizing Israel and the Jewish people?  When in fact they are unsaved and have fallen short of the glory of God like every other race?
2. Have I been guilty of the fear of man and thus have not been boldly lifting up the Name of Jesus (Yeshua) when in the presence of unsaved Jewish people?
3. Have I made the Great Commission actually the Great Omission in my zeal to be accepted at all cost by the unsaved Jewish community?
4. In my Bible study times, do I see the Apostle Paul espousing a Christian Zionist message absent of the Cross in His writing in the NT?
5. Have I been supporting financially ministries or Jewish organizations that secretly attack and persecute the Jewish believers in Israel?
6. Has my end time prophetic eschatology been diluted concerning Israel and the last days by popular Christian Zionistic teachers and popular trends?
7. Do I have the courage to now take evasive maneuvers and change mid-stream my ministry or pro- Israel endeavors and thus get back to a solid Scriptural NT message in my current connections with the unsaved Jewish community?
8. Am I guilty of the “end justifies the means” in my current outlook of why we have strongly maintained a political ministry face to the Jewish people and hope our good intentions will be accepted by God on judgment day?

I know there is a great passion and love for Israel and the Jewish people that has been poured out in millions of born again believers hearts.  I’m very aware of the great personal sacrifices many have endured to stay pro-Israel centered.  Abba knows the secret hours of intercession and weeping many have done for the Peace of Jerusalem.  But we must return to the message of Jesus (Yeshua) and proclaim Him to the Jewish people no matter what the cost or fall out!  Just look at the love and gracious Spirit the believers in Macedonia had for the believers in Israel/Jerusalem.  They begged Paul (see part 1 and 2 of this teaching) to participate in the offerings despite their rock bottom poverty and near starvation (2 Cor. 8).  Yet, nowhere in the text does the Scriptures indicate they were giving to Jewish unbelievers or a political/secular humanitarian Jewish cause….   They were only giving to the BELIEVERS in Israel!  They begged to give only to the SAINTS!  They gave themselves for the work of the GOSPEL in Israel….

My heart is saddened that I have to send out this EMM this morning, but I must be obedient to the Messiah Jesus (Yeshua).  I love Him and His Body and it is time to blow the whistle (shofar) and wake up the precious supporters of Israel.  Don’t betray us your Jewish brothers and Sisters here in the Land…in favor of some end-time eschatological idea about “blessing” Israel.  We will use your gifts to proclaim the Name of Jesus (Yeshua) boldly (Romans 1:16)!  So what have we done to garner such betrayal and rejection from you who should be supporting your very Brothers and Sisters first?  Why, why are you unequally yoked together with unbelievers?

The Spirit of God spoke this AM and said, “It is trash removal time”.  It is time to get all the compacted and hidden junk out of our lives.  It is time to break open the fallow ground of our hearts because the rains have now arrived (Hosea 10:12), (Jer. 4:3)!  Let us take this rare event to plow ourselves as a newly plowed field like can be seen today scattered all over the fertile Sharon range of modern Israel!  It is time to put the plow blade deep and uncover the hidden trash we have unwisely left to decompose in our hearts!

What is it we are making room for and what is it we are seeking for Him to rain upon us in this fresh new hour of service to please Him?  From our last communiqué to you’all, we are endeavoring to move into the territory of a Gethsemane lifestyle of His will…not our will being accomplished in this 911 hour.  To do that we must move past the elementary teaching about the Messiah and press on to maturity (per Hebrews 6).  We must move past all the soulish stimulating speculative teachings about the last days.  We must move past all the conspiracy theories of government takeovers.  We must move past all the mystical manifestations that have sprung up in the modern “Frankenstein” type prophetic ministries.  We must move past all the self-centered destiny messages that dominate most religious media outlets.  And we must with all haste move quickly into the no-man’s land of the scum of the earth motif (1 Cor. 4) of life outside the camp and thus return back to His true message of grace.  Not only grace of what He has done for us (that is foundational milk), but rather the strong diet of what we cannot “do” but only yield to of a new outpouring of grace that is unlimited in its generosity.  It is a service of pleasure to Him that contains no duplicity of motive…which is so rare to hear about these days.

Case in point-  We all have heard taught over and over the principle of sowing and reaping.  I have no problem with the Biblical basis of this teaching.  However, there is way too much duplicity of motive built into this contemporary message of what you can get back from planting your seeds of love and generosity, rather than giving with the sheer joy and pleasure of giving with no motivation for return.  Abba knows everything we need to live in godliness in this present evil age, so why do we hear so much about the “return” on our seed planting?  It is because this is what appeals to the carnal nature of believers to give..and thus get!  This is the duplicity of motive that runs inherently against the very message of grace!  He wants us to give with a motivation germinated from within our hearts of a free will offering that is spontaneous, voluntary, and on one’s own initiative!  We are yielding to His Spirit wind of grace that triggers our hearts to be imitators of the Messiah and freely give ourselves as He freely gave Himself…without a duplicity of motive knowing full well that He in His all knowing sovereignty will choose the timing and provision amount to be harvested!

I have seen so many believers fall away into depression, anger, frustration, and even back to sinful lifestyles in the world system because their giving cycle was based on their own pre-determined calendar of expectation and not on a Divine grace of generosity (grace) that lets Abba freely choose the location, quantity, and time of His commanded blessings!  I’m not writing these things lightly this morning…I have personally witnessed so many believers joy and zeal for God based on finances and “investment” returns they supposedly were hoping for based on past episodes of sacrificial giving.  This is part of the symptoms of the cancerous falling away we are now seeing in our generation…and it is not the pattern of Divine grace seen in the Early Church.  Believers have been so conditioned to give to get…that they have lost sight of the true message of generosity based on the sacrificial Gethsemane transformation of our will becoming His will!  Are we giving because we need something?  Or are we giving out of a splendid Heavenly borne wind of generosity that is triggered as we live the lifestyle of a bondservant endued with Gethsemane’s ebbs and flows of daily self denial?

In our last email on this subject, I wrote about the abject and deep rock bottom poverty that was the circumstances befallen the believers in Macedonia (2 Cor. 8).  They were in a place of such low poverty that they were in imminent danger of real starvation.  Yet, in this rock bottom condition they did not give to the mobile offering for the believers in Jerusalem based on a duplicity of motive or need for self-preservation.  They instead yielded to a Divine river; a Heavenly atmospheric, a place of true knowledge of the Messiah Himself that was not of this planet.  It was a Divine grace that produced a Divine discipline of zealous begging to give to help the Jewish believers in Israel!  Please try to fathom today with me the radical begging and pleading they bombarded Paul with to give into that offering for Israel!  It is so uncanny and mysterious yet is the foundational example of a life transformed by the Cross of Calvary that we are to emulate!

Yet what stops this river of grace from flowing thru our every thought is this smoldering garbage bin of self-centered thinking that is based on a plethora of worldly aspirations!  That is why He is saying it is “time to take the trash out”!  It is time to break open the fallow grounds of our hearts and return to the true grace of the Lord Messiah Yeshua per 2 Cor. 8 and 9!  The key to identifying these decomposing hidden trash piles in the fabric of our thinking is to reverse engineer everything we are now doing into one radical denominator.  Are we seeking His hand or are we seeking His face?  …Thus, as we let this sharp two-edged sword of absolute truth pierce our hearts as a truth serum of 100% infallibility, we can then remove the fox heaps of selfish ambitions and aspirations that have triggered a “hand seeking” devotion in our lives rather than a “Face seeking” devotion that is pre-ordained to kill us.  Why, because no man can see His face and live (Ex. 33:20)!

Do not let this message bring you into fear, but rather let your heart take over and yield to this unfathomable grace of generosity that causes sheer joy to erupt in our lives based not on what we have or what we know…but Who we know!  Then you too will enter this zone of sheer delight that by default will produce a begging and pleading to give in a all consuming discipline of generosity!  It will wonderfully take possession of your mind, will, and emotions!  It is the discipline of sacrificial giving that will be used to build out His latter Glory house of Haggai 2!  The gold and silver belongs to Him, yet your eyes are not on it but rather on Him and Him alone!

Oh, the sheer delight of begging/pleading to give!!!!  There is no other discipline in this life worthy of comparison!

My mind is overwhelmed in the Glory haze of His secret place since going after the race of faith into the no-man’s land of Gethsemane (see Phil. 3).  Thus, I will try my best to articulate in the English vocabulary this morning, the fruit I have been picking up around the hidden tree of life of wanting to be nothing but the scum of the earth per 1 Cor. 4:13.  I will call this theme today “The Lost Discipline of Begging” and may it cause a revolution of God’s pleasure to be poured out from within you!

Here is the centrifuge of this whole discipline and it is found highly detailed for us by the Holy Spirit thru the writings of Paul in 2 Cor. 8-9.  It is here in these chapters a discipline is found so extreme and so rare among the “self-absorbed” trends of the world that has taken deep root inside so many contemporary believers.  I want out (and I know you do too) of this cultural morass of carnality and desperately return to the Messiah centered message of His authentic grace.  However, I must warn you that once you embark on this quest to know Him in this absolute state, you can no longer turn back to your current ways, as it will be akin of a dog returning back to its own vomit and a pig returning to its filth bath.  Once you see this hidden treasure that awaits you then you will give up all to buy this field and can never again be satisfied with anything this world system has to offer.  It is so extreme and yet so heavenly that it is no wonder so many people criticize and scoff at the very mention of it in their secret self absorbed pursuits of religious “devotion”.  It is a dimension of character that is almost impossible for a heavily laden materialistic believer to grasp unless God suddenly shines the light into the chambers of the great “Me” and thus brings us to ruin as is found in Is. 6:5.  Unless you are ruined in this light of His true Glory then what has been referred to as “glory” meetings you maybe attending somewhere is really nothing other than religious entertainment to appeal to our carnal senses.  You must be ruined.  You must be undone.  You must be taken outside the camp and suffer His inglorious reproach…to even have the fresh faith impartation to understand this amazing grace that is so enthusiastically sung about every Sunday morning throughout planet earth!

Let’s first begin by a introductory motif that needs to be slowly digested and pondered over before we can go further this week.  This is not a topic that can be quickly read about but it must become the very transmission and crankshaft that moves our lives in these last days.  I do not know how long it will take you’all to grasp what is being said and if you have the fortitude to stay the course and discipline yourself for this Godly lifestyle of “begging”.  It is my earnest heart driven prayer that Abba will open up to you this unfathomable realm that we have just embarked on and know so few who have risked themselves to do the same.

In 2 Cor. 8:1-9, we can see that a special endowment of grace was given by God to the believers in Macedonia.  These believers were in the areas of Philippi, Thessalonica, and Beroea, and had begun to manifest a character discipline of generous giving that was unheard of in the Book of Acts narrative.  But before we can understand why they were such magnanimous givers, we must understand their current economic plight.  This area of Macedonia was once a thriving commercial capital yet when the Roman Legions had taken over they totally engulfed the wealthy gold and silver mines.  The imagery that Paul uses here of their ongoing deep poverty since being under Roman rule was that of “rock bottom poverty”.  Their poverty had already reached the lowest stage and they were in imminent danger of real starvation (see page 479 of the Linguistic Key to the Greek NT).  Their poverty was abject and their economic situation could not be any more desperate and thus they were like a lacerated and disjointed animal.

Yet, in this unprecedented test of affliction in the deepest part of human suffering known to mankind, there overflowed a new well of generosity that was single-minded and truly open hearted with no duplicity of motive.  It was in this place of imminent starvation, they were not giving with a hidden motive of gain for self-preservation, but rather spontaneously and voluntarily out of their own initiative, without coercion or request, they were begging Paul to be given the opportunity to give to the Jewish believers in Israel!  They had received a supernatural impartation of the true grace of God to give on a level of request that exemplified begging on the most uncanny level!  They were not begging to receive but begging for the opportunity to give!  They needed an outlet for their actions to mirror what was happening in their hearts thru their current financial dilemma…and it was for the believers in Israel to be taken care of thru Paul’s mobile collection visit!

…I’m sorry dear friends but I cannot write anymore this morning….  I’m really so messed up in Godly sorrow and joy over this lost discipline of Begging that my keyboard is getting foggy before me and filled with tears of joy.  I want to know this place of selfless generosity and I’m so pleased Abba has given me a track to now run on into this area that is so precious to Him!  I’m really messed up right now and I can see so clearly now in the Spirit what the grace of God is in this late hour.  Our family has poured out so much for the salvation of the Jewish people and I feel it is such an honor and privilege to be placed here in the Land to receive your offerings and disperse it to comfort His people in the Land of Israel.  I’m begging to give more here and I feel a new surge of strength to complete this gracious work.  Join with us in this gracious work with all expedience of begging…it is the only way to truly live amongst this self-absorbed generation and thus not be deceived in this late hour by the popular self-help destiny messages that have flooded many pulpits world-wide!

In Psalms 69, is a deep water text prophesied by King David that I have not fathomed until recently.  So let us this morning put on our deep water mixed gas re-breathers and explore this rare territory of spiritual maturity.  There is so much in this short Psalm, so for the sake of pinpoint accuracy, let’s keep focused on one theme and it has to do with supernatural zeal and reproach.  Please read Psalm 69 now….

You will notice that much of the language of this Psalm is also used in the NT concerning The Messiah Jesus rejection and persecution before the glorious day of His resurrection.  He is the greatest Champion the Universe has ever witnessed!  It is so rich and powerful that time does not suffice us to study all the pearls here.  But there is one area that continues to resurface in the NT, and that is the mystery of being hated and rejected because of a passion for His House to be preserved and not defiled!

Here is a brief overview that will help you quarry out this tremendous maturity realm He wants us to be comfortable in.

1. David is speaking of being overcome with the dangerous and sudden flashfloods that are in the Judean and Negev desert areas of the tribal area of Judah (verses 1-3).
2. These dangerous flash floods are a type and shadow of the evil and godless enemies that are searching to destroy him, who are not just the Philistines war lords,  but also King Saul and his mighty men (verse 4).
3. Because he has trusted in God, even his friends, and siblings have rejected him (vs. 8).
4. Yet a consuming passionate zeal has consumed and eaten him up!  God’s house must not be defiled (verse 9)!

Now comes in the mystery I would like present to you who are called to be champions in these last days.  …And it has to do with supernatural reproach.  Many strong believers I know who develop a deep love for Abba will automatically precipitate a love for His House that will be full of passion and zeal.  However, as they launch forward to confront the sin, compromise, rebellion, hypocrisy, luke warmness, doctrinal error, worldliness, etc… that stems from the man pleasing pulpits in the land, a supernatural reproach hits them that they do not fully understand.  The more they stand up for holiness the more reproach, persecution, ridicule, abandonment, and the evaporation of friendships ensue.  Most become very troubled by this and feel that they are the reasons for this breakdown in relationships with other believers and soon shame and guilt enters in.  The radical and zealous lover of Abba and His house then are faced with the option of toning things down and becoming politically correct in the House of God or they can continue to go solo and usually develop bitterness and a chip on their shoulder against their religious persecutors who get even more riled up (i.e. friendly fire).

What Abba wants me to encourage you’all this morning with is a very mysterious activity of His Divine providence.  (I pray He opens your eyes to this process.)

1. When you go red hot for Him and obey whatever He tells you to do…you will be popular with Heaven but very, very unpopular with mankind.
2. This zeal for His house is ignited and fueled by your love and passion for His presence and Truth.  You are not out to prove yourself right or looking to put others down.  Instead you are pointing out the way of truth.  You are operating in His Spirit of Justice and feel His pleasure in so doing!
3. Those who are in the darkness will not only not listen, but also hate you (see John 3)
4. The more you stand your ground in this test the more reproach and persecution will be directed towards you…even sometimes from those you would consider close and/or family.

Why does Abba allow this to happen?  Why is this not just the work of the enemy and the sinful fallen nature of man?

Let us look at Psalm 69:9 again,

“ For the zeal of Thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached Thee are fallen upon me.” (Ps. 69:9 Authorized English Version)

Ok, dear warriors, are you ready for this deep water mystery….

When we enter into a zeal and passion for Him and His house more than for ourselves and our houses.  He then bestows on us His most glorious honorable service for His Namesake while we transverse this planet before being taken home.  And the most honorable service we can do for Him is this.  All the reproaches that sinful man spews out towards Him and His Son are also allowed and directed to fall upon us to bear.

I know this is deep, so let me repeat again…..  Our greatest honor this side of glory is to carry His reproach!  It is part of glorious honorable service to be persecuted, censured, blamed, criticized, reproach, scolded, rebuked, treated as the scum of the earth, the dregs of all things…reproached!

This is our hidden altar of Hebrews 13:10-13,

“We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate. So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.” (Hebrews 13:10-13 New American Standard Bible)

While the majority of pulpits in the Christianized nations of the world are moving towards luke warm messages of self consumption, there is a remnant of warrior lovers who are positioned to not only sound the shofar of warning in these last days, but also have been equipped by Abba to bear and carry His reproaches.  This is our greatest reward this side of glory and I have thoroughly enjoyed finally resting in this Divine mystery for His Namesake.

We live in a region of the world (Middle East) where His Name is not only blasphemed continually but also where many who love Him are brutally killed and/or persecuted.  It takes great courage to speak out and evangelize in this sector and one must be prepared with great stamina against the reproaches and troubles that are directed towards those who preach Jesus the Messiah and Risen from the dead.  Perhaps this is why so many believers come to visit or work in Israel but are afraid to boldly declare His Name here.  There is are many ministries who come here only to do good will projects but do not preach the Gospel.  Why?  Because they have counted the cost and have decided it is too great and backed away from the reproach.  They want the acceptance of man more than the acceptance of Heaven.  And that is the bottom line….

And it is here where the division is made between those who are heroes in man’s eyes or those who are the true champions in Heavens eyes.  What will you be and who will you sponsor in your love for this Land and its lost people Israel?

Be strong and do not deny His Name in this late hour, but enter into the mystery of the zeal for His house consuming you……
